We have had great success helping dental & medical offices market their practices / offices with postcards. Our experience has shown that while 4x6 postcards will work if you are on a budget - the large 5.5x8.5 inch postcards and jumbo 6x11 inch postcards are most effective. These larger postcards standout in the mail box and provide plenty of space to describe the products and services you offer.
In general you want a postcard (recall card) design that promotes the benefits of using your practice. Are you in a convenient location, do you offer extended hours, are you especially good with children - these are all the things that you want to bring to the reader’s attention.
It is also important to instill confidence in the person reading your postcards. This can be done through the use of testimonials and by listing professional organizations you belong to and accreditations you hold on the postcard.
Other important design elements for dental postcards are: high quality images, a call to action or special offer, and prominently displayed contact information.
Mailing List Options for Dental & Medical Marketing
For Practice Marketing, we recommend using an occupant mailing list of residents that live near your practice. If your practice is located in an area of lower income residents or has large pockets of lower income residents we can use an income level selector to ensure your marketing your services to people who can afford them.

- When you purchase existing practice, you should let people know that you are better & faster and have flexible business hours.
- When your practice moved to a new location.
- When you updated your equipment. ( example digital Xray – less radiation, new sterilization or add TV in each room)

How Often to Mail ?
As with any postcard marketing campaign - repetition (mailing to the same list of recipients multiple times) results in the best response rates. This is particularly important for Dental & Medical Practices as not everyone you mail to will need your services the first time they receive your postcard. For Dental Marketing we recommend mailing to same list of recipients once a month. For Medical Marketing we recommend mailing to the same list of recipients twice a month. This will allow your postcard to be in front of the recipient when they need you and will also provide branding for your practice.
